The Republic of Brockburn Province

An t-Sruthan Bróig

Strathy at its most serene and its most beautiful.

Widely regarded as Strathy's great escape, Brockburn is a little slice of nature within easy reaching distance of the capital. The land of Brockburn Province officially belongs to Glasgow City Council, however it has been claimed by Strathy as rightful Strathan Territory and is regarded as under occupation by The United Kingdom.

Brockburn Province is located to the south of Langford city and comprises a large swathe of land currently classed as Brockburn Country Park. The claimed land extends from the mill in the north down to the bridge in the south. Whilst the republic takes its name from the burn - small river - running through it, the borders of the province do not cross the burn, rather the burn acts as the eastern border. Corselet Road to the west acts as a western border.

Brockburn Province is widely regarded as Strathy's best area for natural beauty with many species of trees and plants growing within it and sightings of many species of birds and animals reported including herons and deer. In the summer the long grass, trees and river are teaming with life. In the winter, the landscapes become just as stunning with snow often coating the entire republic in a thick, white blanket.
